THE State Government has chosen two consortia to tender for Bendigo’s $630 million new hospital.
Health officials chose Intecare and Exemplar this week.
Both consortia comprise four companies and all have experience delivering billion-dollar projects across the globe.
The short-list is almost three months late but the government expects construction to start on time.
Contractors are preparing the site for construction to start in December and finish in 2016.
Minister For Health David Davis told the Bendigo Advertiser tonight the project would create 735 jobs, 500 of which would be secure for at least three years.
