The vintage fair has been moved from Dunolly to Maryborough to cope with the expected increase in visitors and stallholders. Now at the freshly-painted Maryborough Town Hall, it will include stalls selling vintage clothing, hand-made goods and antiques.
Ms Titshall said a Mad Hatter-inspired high tea, knitted tea cosy display and vintage-style portrait photographer would also be highlights. She said the fair was riding on the current obsession with everything vintage and home-made.
“It’s a generation of people who have always collected stuff from op shops because they were different and that’s what they could afford,” she said.
“There’s so much mass-produced stuff out there and they want something different.” The Art of Elegance Fair is being held this Sunday from 11am to 4pm at the Maryborough Town Hall, Neill Street. Tickets cost $10 for adults $7 for concessions, and under-16s visit free.
Tickets for the high tea are $25 and bookings can be made by calling 5461 5080.
