AUSTRALIAN Grand Prix officials will this morning announce that a Swisse F1 two-seater car will come to Bendigo in March.
The car will zip through the city ahead of the Bendigo International Madison Criterium.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation motorsport and entertainment general manager Craig Fletcher made the formal announcement in the Dai Gum San precinct this morning.
City of Greater Bendigo councillor James Reade said he was excited Formula One was headed for Bendigo.
"It isn't every day that you see an F1 car driving down the streets of Bendigo, and we are lucky enough to have two in town,'' he said.
The Swisse F1 two-seater cars will run down Pall Mall from 5.30pm and will precede the Bendigo Madison Criterium.
