A WOMAN is being airlifted to Melbourne after surviving a horrific collision with a truck on the Northern Highway at Toolleen.
The woman's car smashed head-on into the truck just before 2.30pm.
The impact of the collision forced the truck to flip and roll 600m down the road.
The truck driver and his passenger had to be freed from the wreckage before they were taken to Bendigo Hospital.
The male truck driver has a suspected broken arm and his female passenger has minor head injuries.

The female driver of the other car has serious abdominal injuries.
Witnesses who stopped to help free the pair from the truck said they were amazed they'd survived.
The Northern Highway remains blocked in both directions. Police expect the highway to be closed for at least two hours.
