EAGLEHAWK Community House clean-up campaign organisers have urged more residents to call them for help to ensure their properties are bushfire safe.
The group has spent the past three weeks working with residents and volunteers reducing bushfire fuel.
Project co-ordinator Chris Hain said more people in Long Gully and Eaglehawk should put their hand up for help.
“We are keen to work with people who are not physically or financially able to clean up their properties,” Mr Hain said.
“We can provide equipment so people can do their own work, or a volunteer team can come in and do it all.
“We can also provide a fuel voucher if people have their own equipment but need some financial help. We can also provide access to the tip to get rid of the debris.
“We will be continuing our project into early December,” said Mr Hain.
He said businesses could also sign up to provide assistance with discounts or donations of goods and services.
Anyone who wants to get involved can contact the Eaglehawk Community House on 5446 8322, Chris Hain on 0408 693 228 or email neighbourhoodcleanup@impulse.net. au
People can also visit the community house at 12 Truscott Avenue, Eaglehawk.
