 A celebration for our youth

A celebration for our youth

30 Mar, 2009 07:58 AM
NATIONAL Youth Week kicked into gear in central Victoria over the weekend.

The theme for this year’s National Youth Week is Make a Move.

A youth event at Heathcote on Saturday featured pizza making, Guitar Hero, and a paint war, while music rocked The Mud Brick House.

A neighbour day was held at Long Gully Community House yesterday and the event featured music from the Palmer Brothers and free food.

Tomorrow the Raw Arts youth awards opening night will be held, with the winner to be announced at 6pm.

The exhibition, in Dudley House, will open from 10am to 4pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

On Thursday, the Make a Move music event will rock Rosalind Park with multicultural sounds from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

The LeadOn youth forum is also on Thursday.

At 1pm on Friday, live music will be offered in the Civic Gardens, while on Saturday from 11am to 3pm a youth drought forum will be held in the Elmore Athenaeum Hall.
