Jo Masters turned 90 at the end of last month and is still busy chasing her dream of being recorded.
Jo lives in Barkingside, London, and was an entrant in the UK's Oldie Composers' Songwriting competition earlier this year.
Her daughter Peta lives in Castlemaine and has spent the past few months drumming up international support for her mum.
Peta is currently overseas and helped her mum to celebrate her big birthday.
"It was a great day and topped a really exciting year for her," she said.
"As the oldest contestant in the Oldie Songwriters' Competition, she had been invited to the BBC the week before and got to meet various celebrities such as Terry Wogan, Anthony Head, and Aled Jones so that provided a great warm up."
