POLICE are questioning a Bendigo man over the death of an 11-month-old baby boy in Long Gully last week.
The 19-year-old was arrested in relation to a spate of burglaries in the Long Gully area.
The thefts, from cars in the area, occurred sometime between the evening of Thursday, June 14 and the morning of Friday, June 15.
Last week an 11-month-old boy died from suspected head injuries.
The Homicide Squad are investigating.
Today, a Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed a 19-year-old Bendigo man was helping them with their enquiries.
"Police have spoken to the man in relation to the death of the child and the alleged burglaries and theft from motor car offences," the spokesperson said.
" This man has not been charged with anything at this stage. As the investigation is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further."
The man is in custody at the Bendigo Police Station.
